Tucson, AZ – In January of 2016 The Phoenix Business Journal researched and ranked the top Aircraft Avionics/Defense and medical equipment contractors by the number of contracts. Research showed that Aircraft Avionics/Defense and medical equipment contractors were on top of the Department of Defense’s (DoD) Arizona shopping list in fiscal year 2015. For 2015 Airtronics, a locally owned and operated company in Tucson was ranked #14 with a combined total of 264 Contracts with the various DoD agencies.
Airtronics joins other well known aerospace and defense contractors on the list such as, Raytheon with 1,595 contracts, Honeywell International with 2,208 transactions and Sargent Aerospace & Defense LLC with 591 contracts.
Airtronics has been providing top quality support to the DoD through their Manufacturing, Machine Shop and Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul Divisions (MRO) since 1975. For the past 20 years, Airtronics Inc. has worked closely with the Air Force and Department of Defense to develop repair capability on items historically considered non-repairable.

Airtronics Inc. wins Best Place To Work Award
On October 30, 2014 The Tucson Metro Chamber announced Airtronics Inc. as the winner of the Best Place To Work award. Airtronics won in the category of 51-75 employees. Airtronics was honored to be the winner among a field of over 400 submissions and 56 finalists.
The Blue Cross Blue Shield of Arizona Best Places to Work honors businesses that encourage and support professional growth, education and development for employees. Airtronics couldn’t be more honored to be this year’s winner of this very prestigious award. We would like to thank the Tucson Chamber, Wells Fargo, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Arizona and the judges for their contributions to this unique and wonderful event.
